He is Risen Indeed!

We had a great weekend full of celebrating our risen Lord!
Aidan's class Easter party

His favorite egg -- the one he dropped, which came out looking like a "dinosaur egg about to hatch!!"

Our traditional "resurrection rolls"... see the empty tomb?

Just one of many egg hunts -- and our house being taken over by plastic eggs.               So. Many. Eggs.

Fun times with cousins on the Pulsipher side of the family

Thanks for all the goodies Aunt Sue & Uncle Jerry!

Granna & Emma
Easter morning, ready for church

More fun celebrating with the cousins on Chris' side of the family

About to start the egg hunt..... oh the anticipation....

And later that evening - one last egg hunt our kids set up for their neighbor friends, in an effort to cut down our egg collection to a reasonable amount.  They had fun being the "hiders" this round and did well at sharing their abundance of treats (only a little prodding needed ;).

With good friends Makenzie & Kyle from across the street
That's the re-cap of our fun weekend.... I just love having kids this age because in between all the eggs & bunnies, we get so many chances to talk about why Jesus died on the cross, and what it means for us that He rose from the dead on the 3rd day!  They're old enough now to learn the stories, ask questions, and start to "get it" that His payment for them (personally) is the reason we can have hope & forgiveness & a right relationship with our Father God. My favorite moment of the weekend.... Easter morning when I first went in to Aidan's room to greet him, and he was literally jumping up & down with excitement saying "Jesus is alive! Jesus is alive! Jesus is ALIVE!!"

He is risen indeed!
