Family in from New York

Chris' Uncle & Aunt were in town for a 2-week visit with their son (Jose), so we were glad to get a chance to visit with them - this was their first chance to meet most of the AZ "grand-nieces & nephews" of the family! During their 2nd week here, Hurricane Sandy hit NY..... so while they were glad to be away from it, their hearts were home with all their family & friends there. This is the couple who live with Mamita (age 90) and care for her. Thankfully the family had moved Mamita out to the Bronx to stay with one of the cousins to avoid the worst of the storm. There was a lot of flooding at the foot of her building (and no power) so it's a good thing she left ahead of time.... and also glad she has an 8th-floor apartment so as far as we know there's no real losses. The uncle & aunt who live down the street from her decided to stay, and they ended up stuck in their apt. building with no power for 2 days since the ground floor was so flooded! All the family there is OK though, praise the Lord!
