Happy Birthday Aidan!

And even more birthday craziness this month -- Aidan is 5!! He had a fun party in the backyard with the neighbor kids. We went simple with a couple of his favorites.... mac & cheese, and chocolate cake! The kiddos loved our game of "Drop the Marshmallow in the Dad's Mouth," inspired by another great sport of a Dad I know.... ;) We skipped the part about dipping them in chocolate syrup first but Chris probably won't get off so easy next year!


Celebrating again with Granna & Papa - the kids loved their overnighter!! The bow & arrow was a big hit too.... he plays with it a lot and is getting to be a pretty good shot!




Here's a couple from his b-day morning.... got his own sleeping bag, and I had to include this one from the scavenger hunt to find one of his gifts - Emma got pretty into it as you can see!
These last ones are from Chris' side of the family, celebrating 3 cousins (our 2 & Alexis who turned 9). It was in the courtyard at Sloppy's apartments - a fun evening, perfect weather, lots of space for the kids (all 11!) to play. Sloppy's girlfriend Miranda loves to plan parties and did a great job with the "bug"/picnic theme -- that's why some folks are wearing bug headbands in case you were wondering :). The bug-net party favors were a BIG hit with Aidan...
Long post, I know! It's been a full month as March always is! I think Aidan had a great time with all the celebrations. He's growing up so fast and we just enjoy him so much!
